EARTH: CODE BLUE is the brainchild of Will Harper and Diana Sinelnikova, who share deep concern for social justice and passion for the environment. They are creating EARTH: CODE BLUE to not simply alert the public to our planet in peril, but show that by coming together and taking small steps we can make quantum leaps in preventing a full melt-down scenario for the only place we know as home, Earth.
“It breaks my heart to see people in poor rural areas of Southeast Asia who don’t have a voice being taken advantage of by mining and logging corporations. But when I see the foot soldiers that you will meet here in Earth: Code Blue, who are risking their lives to make a difference, I feel like there is hope for humanity”, Will Harper, Earth: Code Blue producer/director
“It is amazing how much each and everyone of us can do to prevent the further damage. All it takes is one small step. But everyone has to take part. Either that, or by 2050 there will be more plastic in our oceans than fish and most of the species and the world’s most important rainforests will be extinct. If you think that Sumatra deforestation doesn’t affect you- it does. Sumatra houses third largest rainforest on Earth which is responsible for storing CO2. That rainforest is disappearing at astronomical rate. Just by buying sustainable products you can make a difference. ”, Diana Sinelnikova, Earth: Code Blue producer
